The Project “Destinazione Nicotera”

Destinazione Nicotera is a diffuse territorial hospitality project that brings together homes, accommodation, experiences, activities, events and community stories, operating according to a systemic logic under a single brand, in order to promote and enhance the Nicotera area as a hospitable destination before it becomes a tourist destination.

A tourism model is not imposed on a territory; it is the territory itself that opens itself up, in an authentic and genuine way, to hospitality based on the authenticity and roots that characterise it culturally: from popular traditions to architecture, food and wine and the natural landscape that make it unique and cannot be reproduced elsewhere.

It offers travellers, communities and local tour operators the opportunity to participate in a responsible, sustainable and fair tourism project that benefits the whole community.

The association Progetti Ospitali

The project is conceived by the ‘Progetti Ospitali’ Cultural Association, whose aim is to promote the cultural, tourist, social and natural development of Nicotera in a sustainable and responsible manner, inspired by the principles of democracy, solidarity and ethics, in order to raise awareness and personal and community growth through knowledge of the territory and its cultural and environmental aspects.

Joining the Association is not just about paying an annual subscription, it is a commitment to love your land and work together to make it special for the benefit of the community.

Those who take part in the project offer their experience in order to promote their territory and make it as accessible as possible to those who wish to visit Nicotera, as well as to the local population itself, who are keen to know more about their home.
